Driving
The most common way to reach Tsehlanyane National Park is by car. From Maseru, take the A1 road towards Butha-Buthe. Approximately 5 km southwest of Butha-Buthe, turn onto the 30 km tarred access road signposted to Tsehlanyane National Park. The road passes through a couple of villages and parallels the Hlotse River. The entrance fee is 50 LTL per person and 30 LTL per car. Note that road conditions may require a 4x4 vehicle in certain areas, especially during or after rainy seasons.
Public Transport
For adventurous travelers, public transport is an option. First, take a shared taxi from Maseru to Butha-Buthe. From Butha-Buthe, shared taxis are available to villages en route to the park. You may be able to get dropped off at the park gates or Maliba Lodge. To leave, it's best to arrange transport onwards with Maliba Lodge. Public transport can be limited and requires patience. Expect to pay around 60-80 LTL for a shared taxi from Maseru to Butha-Buthe, and another 30-40 LTL for the final leg to the park.
