Bird Haven Guesthouse: A Cozy Retreat in Leribe, Lesotho

Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the Leribe bus station, head east towards the main road (Mokhotlong Road). Walk along the main road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and local vendors. Keep an eye out for the signs that indicate the direction to Hlotse. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Hlotse road. Turn left onto Hlotse road and walk for approximately 2 kilometers.

• Walking

  As you approach Hlotse, look for the sign that says 'Lisemeng II'. Continue walking straight for another 500 meters. You will see a small road branching off to the right. Take this road, and after about 200 meters, you should see Bird Haven Guesthouse on your left. The guesthouse is located in a quiet area and has clear signage.

• Public Transport (Taxi)

  From the Leribe bus station, you can take a local taxi (commonly known as a 'taxi') heading towards Hlotse. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Lisemeng II'. The fare is usually around 10-15 Maloti. The driver will drop you off near the intersection of Hlotse road and Lisemeng II. From there, you can follow the walking directions provided above to reach the guesthouse.

• Public Transport (Shared Taxi)

  Alternatively, you can look for a shared taxi (often filled with passengers) that is headed towards Hlotse. These taxis usually leave from designated taxi ranks. Once you board, let the driver know you are going to 'Lisemeng II'. Once you arrive at the intersection with Hlotse road, follow the walking directions to Bird Haven Guesthouse as previously mentioned.
