The Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car is easily accessible by train. Take the Appenzeller Bahnen to Wasserauen station, the last stop on the line. From the station, it's a short, well-signposted walk to the valley station of the cable car. A single, one-way ticket on the cable car costs CHF 24 for adults, CHF 10 for children (ages 6-15), and CHF 12 with a SBB Half-Fare Travelcard or GA. A round trip costs CHF 36 for adults, CHF 15 for children, and CHF 18 with a SBB Half-Fare Travelcard or GA. Dogs cost CHF 13 for a round trip.
