Car
If you're driving from Aukštaitija to Trakai Historical National Park, start by getting onto the A14 highway (Via Baltica). Follow signs toward Vilnius, and then take the exit toward Trakai. Continue on the A4 road until you reach the town of Trakai. Once in Trakai, look for signs directing you to Karaimų g. 5. The park is located near the historical Trakai Island Castle, so you can use that as a landmark. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

Public Transportation
To reach Trakai Historical National Park using public transportation, take a bus from Vilnius. Buses leave from the Vilnius Bus Station (autobusų stotis) and travel directly to Trakai. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at the Trakai bus station, exit and walk toward the center of Trakai, following signs to the island and castle. The park entrance is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as there may be limited services on weekends.

For the more adventurous, biking to Trakai is a great option! You can rent a bike in Aukštaitija and follow the scenic routes to Trakai. The distance is approximately 30 km, and the journey will take around 2 hours, depending on your pace. Follow cycling paths along the lakes, and be sure to enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way. Once you arrive in Trakai, you can easily navigate to Karaimų g. 5 and the park. Always wear a helmet and be aware of the traffic.
