Getting There

Start your journey from the center of Fort Dauphin, specifically from the main market area (Place de la République). Head southeast along Avenue de l’Indépendance. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Route Nationale 13 (RN13). At this junction, turn left onto RN13 and walk for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and cafes, so feel free to stop for refreshments along the way. After walking for about 30 minutes, you will reach a sign indicating Sainte Luce. Here, you can either continue walking or consider hiring a local guide for the remaining distance.

Starting from the center of Fort Dauphin, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near the main square. Head southeast on Avenue de l’Indépendance, then turn left onto Route Nationale 13 (RN13). Cycle for about 3 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the coastal road. Once you reach the sign for Sainte Luce, park your bicycle and follow the footpath leading into the reserve. This journey should take you about 20-30 minutes.

From the main market area in Fort Dauphin, head to the taxi-brousse station located near Avenue de l’Indépendance. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Sainte Luce. The fare is usually affordable, and the journey lasts about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sainte Luce, ask the driver to drop you off near the Sainte Luce Reserve entrance, which is close to the coordinates 55W7+RF6. From there, it will be a short walk to the actual entrance of the reserve.
