Walking
If you are in Bar Harbor, head toward the Acadia National Park visitor center located at 20 Visitor Center Road. From the visitor center, follow the road signs to the park entrance on Route 3. Once inside the park, continue straight on the Park Loop Road. Keep an eye out for the Ocean Drive Road sign. When you reach the intersection with Ocean Drive, turn left. Continue walking along Ocean Drive until you reach the Ocean Path Trailhead. Once you disembark at Sand Beach, walk towards the Ocean Path Trailhead, which is well-marked and located to the right as you face the ocean.
