Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from the center of Bar Harbor. Make your way to Main Street and walk towards the waterfront. Once you reach the shore, head east along the Shore Path. Continue walking until you reach the end of the path, where you'll find the entrance to Acadia National Park. From there, follow the signs directing you to Great Head Trail. The trailhead is approximately 1.5 miles from the Shore Path.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Bar Harbor. Start from Main Street and head towards the entrance of Acadia National Park via the Park Loop Road.
