    Car

    If you're driving from Bar Harbor, head southwest on ME-3 S. Continue for approximately 4 miles. Turn left onto Giant Slide Road (look for the sign for the Giant Slide Trailhead). Follow Giant Slide Road for about 1 mile until you reach the trailhead parking area on your left.

    Public Transportation

    Take the Island Explorer bus from Bar Harbor. Board the bus at any designated stop in Bar Harbor and ride the bus towards the 'Mount Desert' line. You will need to get off at the 'Giant Slide' stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 0.2 miles) down Giant Slide Road to reach the trailhead.

    Biking

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike in Bar Harbor. Start your journey on ME-3 S, and then turn left onto Giant Slide Road. The ride is approximately 4 miles from Bar Harbor, and you will have to navigate the road carefully as there may not be designated bike lanes. Once you arrive at Giant Slide Road, continue for about 1 mile to the trailhead.
