If you are starting from downtown South Portland, head to the nearest bus stop and take the South Portland Bus Line #21 towards Bug Light Park. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Once you board, stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Bug Light Park' stop, which is the second to last stop on the route. After getting off, you will see the entrance to Bug Light Park directly in front of you.

If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Bug Light Park. From the South Portland Community Center, head south on Highland Avenue for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Breakwater Drive and continue straight until you reach the park entrance. The walk will take approximately 10-15 minutes and will take you through a pleasant residential area.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle to Bug Light Park. From the South Portland Public Library, head south on Broadway for about 0.8 miles. Then, take a left onto Waterman Drive and follow it until you reach the park. There are bike racks available at the park for you to secure your bicycle. This route is relatively flat and will take around 10 minutes.
