If you're in the downtown area of South Portland, start by heading south on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and walk straight for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several local shops and restaurants. Keep walking until you reach the end of Broadway where it meets Willard Square. From Willard Square, take a right onto Ocean Street. Follow Ocean Street for about 0.2 miles and you will see Willard Beach on your left. The beach entrance is easily accessible from the sidewalk.

If you prefer to take public transportation, locate the nearest South Portland Bus Stop. Take the South Portland Bus Route 21 toward Willard Beach. The bus will take you directly to the Willard Beach stop. Once you get off the bus, you will be just a short walk from the beach entrance. Simply head east on Ocean Street for about 0.1 miles and you will arrive at Willard Beach.

For those who enjoy biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in South Portland. Start your ride at the Eastern Promenade Trail and head south until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Take a left onto Broadway and continue cycling until you reach Willard Square. Once you reach Willard Square, turn right onto Ocean Street, and follow it until you arrive at Willard Beach. There are bike racks available at the beach for you to secure your bike.
