If you are driving from Machias, head west on US-1 N for about 30 miles. As you approach Ellsworth, take a left onto ME-3 S towards Bar Harbor. Continue on ME-3 for approximately 20 miles. Once you reach Northeast Harbor, take a right onto Main St. The Great Harbor Maritime Museum will be on your right at 124 Main St, Northeast Harbor, ME 04662. Parking is available on the street, but be aware of signage indicating any parking restrictions.

To reach the Great Harbor Maritime Museum using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Machias to Ellsworth via the Downeast Transportation bus service.
