    From Kande Beach, head north along the M5 road towards Nkhata Bay. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Nkhata Bay. Take a left turn at the junction, following the signs for Nkhata Bay. After about 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Karwe Forest Trails. Keep an eye out for the C726+Q9W marker on your left side. Turn onto C726 road, and follow it for about 5 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance to Karwe Forest Trails.

  • Public Transportation

    From Kande Beach, you can take a minibus heading towards Nkhata Bay. These minibuses depart regularly from the main road. Once aboard, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Nkhata Bay junction. The fare should be around 1,000 MWK. After getting off, walk towards the junction and wait for another minibus heading to Nkhata Bay. Again, inform the driver of your destination. Once you reach Nkhata Bay, you can either take a taxi or a local motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to cover the remaining distance to Karwe Forest Trails, which should cost around 1,500 MWK for a taxi or 1,000 MWK for a boda boda.

    For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Kande Beach. Start by cycling north on the M5 road towards Nkhata Bay. The ride is approximately 30 kilometers to the junction. Once you reach the junction, take a left onto the road towards Nkhata Bay. Continue cycling for about 10 kilometers until you see the signs for Karwe Forest Trails. After reaching the C726 road, turn left and cycle for another 5 kilometers to reach the trails. Be prepared for varying road conditions and ensure you have enough water and snacks for the journey.
