Car
From Kande Beach, head north on the main road, the M5 highway, towards Nkhata Bay. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers. As you approach Nkhata Bay, look for the turn-off to Kantchindu, which is marked by a sign. Turn left onto the road leading towards Kantchindu. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Kantchindu Cottage. There is usually no toll on this route, but ensure your vehicle has enough fuel for the trip.

Public Transportation
From Kande Beach, find a minibus heading towards Nkhata Bay. The minibuses typically leave from the main bus stop in Kande Beach. Inform the driver that you need to get off at the Kantchindu turn-off. The fare is usually around 1,000 MWK. After disembarking, walk approximately 5 kilometers down the road towards Kantchindu Cottage. It is advisable to ask locals for directions if you feel lost along the way.

If you prefer to walk from Kande Beach, head north on the main road (M5 highway) towards Nkhata Bay. It is about a 25-kilometer walk, so prepare for a long journey. Along the way, you can stop at local shops for refreshments. When you reach the Nkhata Bay turn-off for Kantchindu, follow that road for an additional 5 kilometers to reach your destination. This option is only recommended if you are physically fit and well-prepared for a long trek.
