Car

After approximately 30 kilometers, turn left onto the road leading to the ferry terminal at Monkey Bay. The ferry leaves for Chisi Island typically in the morning, so ensure you arrive early. The ferry ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Chisi, enjoy the beautiful scenery and activities the island has to offer.

Public Transportation (Minibus)

From Mangochi, you can catch a minibus to Monkey Bay, which departs frequently. The ride will take about 30 minutes and costs around 500 MWK. Once in Monkey Bay, head to the ferry terminal. Ferries to Chisi Island run daily, usually in the morning; be sure to check the schedule upon arrival. The ferry ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Make sure to have some cash for the ferry fare, which is approximately 2,000 MWK per person.

Boat Rental

If you prefer a more private and flexible option, consider renting a boat from Monkey Bay to Chisi Island. You can find rental services at the harbor.
