Walking
Start from Zomba Central Market, located in the heart of Zomba. Head south on the main road (Chancellor Avenue) for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Mzuzu Road. At the junction, turn left onto Mzuzu Road and continue walking for approximately 2 km. You'll pass by various shops and local vendors along the way. After 2 km, look for a sign indicating the turn-off to the Songani Lookout, which is a small path on your right. Follow this path uphill for around 500 meters until you reach the lookout point. Enjoy the view!
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Zomba. Begin your journey at Zomba Central Market and head south on Chancellor Avenue for 1 km. When you reach the Mzuzu Road junction, turn left and cycle for about 2 km. Keep an eye out for the sign leading to Songani Lookout on your right. Turn onto the path and cycle uphill for about 500 meters. Note that the path may be steep, so take your time and enjoy the scenery as you ride to the lookout.
Public Transport
From Zomba Central, take a minibus heading towards Mzuzu. Ask the conductor to drop you off at the Mzuzu Road junction, which is about 2 km from the market. Once you get off, walk back a short distance (about 100 meters) to the turn-off for Songani Lookout on your right. From there, follow the path uphill for approximately 500 meters to reach the lookout point. Be sure to check the minibus schedule for return trips.
