Getting There

Car
From Phalombe Plains, head west on the M1 road towards Zomba. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach a junction. At the junction, take the left turn onto the road leading to Zomba. Follow the signs towards Zomba Massif. As you approach Zomba, you will see signs for the Massif. Drive through Zomba town and then follow the road up towards the mountain. Parking is available at the base of Zomba Massif. Note: Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some sections of the road can be steep.

Public Transportation
From Phalombe Plains, take a minibus to Zomba. The minibus station is located in the center of Phalombe. Be prepared for a wait, as minibuses leave when full. The journey to Zomba takes about 1 hour. Once in Zomba, you can either take a taxi or walk to the base of Zomba Massif. Taxis can be found near the minibus station and should cost around 1,000 MWK to reach the base of the Massif. Walking from the town to the Massif will take about 30-40 minutes.
