    If you are driving from the Thyolo Highlands, start by heading northwest on the main road (T378) towards the city of Thyolo. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the junction with the M1 road. Turn left onto the M1 and continue south for about 28 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Lake Malawi National Park. The entrance to the park is located near the town of Mangochi, approximately 5 kilometers from the M1 junction.

    To reach Lake Malawi National Park via public transport, take a minibus from Thyolo to Blantyre, which costs around 1,000 MWK and takes about 30 minutes. From Blantyre, board a bus heading to Mangochi. The fare is approximately 3,500 MWK and the journey will take about 2-3 hours. Once in Mangochi, you can hire a local taxi or take a short motorcycle ride to reach the entrance of Lake Malawi National Park, which is about 5 kilometers away.
