Car

From Thyolo Highlands, head southeast on the main road towards Blantyre. After approximately 30 km, you will reach a junction at Machinga. Turn left onto the road towards Mulanje. Continue for about 10 km until you see signs for Majete Wildlife Reserve. Follow the signs for another 15 km on a well-marked road, and you will arrive at the entrance of the reserve, located at coordinates 3J7R+CHJ in Maganga.
Public Transportation

Catch a minibus from Thyolo to Blantyre, which runs frequently and costs around 1,000 MWK. Once in Blantyre, transfer to a minibus heading to Mulanje and inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Majete Wildlife Reserve junction. This leg of the trip will cost approximately 1,500 MWK. From the junction, you will need to hire a local taxi (approximately 5,000 MWK) to take you the remaining 15 km to the reserve entrance.

If you prefer a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from Thyolo Highlands to Majete Wildlife Reserve. This will cost around 30,000 MWK for a round trip. The driver will take you directly to the reserve entrance at 3J7R+CHJ in Maganga. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand and confirm the return time.
