If you are starting from the Kota Kinabalu Waterfront, head east along the waterfront promenade. Continue along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens until you reach the junction with Jalan Asrama. Turn left onto Jalan Asrama, and follow it uphill. After a short walk, you will see the Signal Hill Observatory Tower on your right.

From the Kota Kinabalu Central Market, catch the number 5 bus towards Signal Hill. The bus will take you to the end of Jalan Asrama. Once you get off the bus, walk uphill for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the Signal Hill Observatory Tower.
