Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start your journey from Georgetown, the capital of Penang. Head southwest on Jalan Penang, turn left onto Jalan Macalister, and continue straight until you reach Jalan Paya Terubong. Follow the signs to Penang Hill. Upon reaching the bottom station, you will need to park your car at the designated parking area. The parking fee is approximately RM 5. From there, take the funicular train to the top of Penang Hill, which costs around RM 30 for a return ticket. Once you arrive at the top, walk towards 230 Jalan Tuanku Yahya Petra, and you will find the Penang Hill Heritage Post Box.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus from Georgetown. Board Rapid Penang Bus 204 or 201 from Komtar Bus Terminal, which will take you to the Penang Hill lower station. The bus fare is around RM 2. Once you arrive at the lower station, purchase a ticket for the funicular train, costing RM 30 for a return trip. After the train ride to the top, walk towards 230 Jalan Tuanku Yahya Petra to find the heritage post box.

• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  You can also opt for a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab. Simply enter 'Penang Hill Lower Station' as your destination. The fare from Georgetown should be around RM 20 to RM 30, depending on traffic. Upon arrival at the lower station, pay for your funicular train ticket (RM 30 for a return trip). After the train ride, head towards 230 Jalan Tuanku Yahya Petra to reach the Penang Hill Heritage Post Box.
