To reach Sipadan Diving Reserve, you must first travel to Semporna, which is the nearest town on the mainland. If you're coming from Tawau, you can take a bus or a taxi directly to Semporna. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and the cost is around RM 30-40. Once in Semporna, head to the jetty where you can find several operators offering boat transfers to Pulau Sipadan. The boat journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and prices typically range from RM 150-250 per person, depending on the operator and package chosen.

If you're starting from Kota Kinabalu, you can take a flight to Tawau. Once you arrive in Tawau, take a bus or taxi to Semporna. The bus ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Semporna, follow the previous guidance to catch a boat to Sipadan. Ensure to book your boat transfer in advance, especially during peak diving season, to secure your spot.
