If you are starting from the Sandakan Heritage Museum, exit the museum and head south on Jalan Istana towards Jalan Pryer. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Jalan Pryer. Turn left onto Jalan Pryer and you will see Sandakan Central Market on your right.

From the Sandakan Waterfront, head east along the waterfront promenade until you reach the end, then turn right onto Jalan Pryer. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes. Sandakan Central Market will be on your left-hand side as you approach the intersection with Jalan C.M. Yusof.
