Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Paola, head south on Triq il-Kbira towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Triq il-Madonna tal-Ħniena. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Triq San Ġorġ. Turn left onto Triq San Ġorġ and keep walking straight. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the outskirts of Kalkara. Continue straight, and you will see signs for Fort Rinella. The fort is located near the waterfront.

    From Paola, walk to the nearest bus stop on Triq il-Kbira. Take bus number 81 or 82 towards Kalkara. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the Kalkara stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs for Fort Rinella, which is just a short walk away.
