Walking
If you're starting from the Annapolis City Dock, head north on Main St. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with West St. Turn left onto West St and follow it until you reach the intersection with the US Naval Academy. Continue straight as West St becomes Taylor Ave. Follow Taylor Ave until you reach the bus stop at Taylor Ave and Ritchie Hwy. From there, catch the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) bus 60 heading to Washington, DC. After approximately 30 minutes, get off the bus at the stop on 17th St NW. Walk west for a short distance, and you will arrive at the National Geographic Museum located at 1145 17th St NW.

From the Annapolis Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of West St and Westgate Circle. Board the MTA bus 70 heading towards Washington, DC. After about 40 minutes, disembark at the National Gallery of Art stop. From there, walk northwest along Constitution Ave NW until you reach 17th St NW. Turn right onto 17th St NW, and the National Geographic Museum will be on your left at 1145 17th St NW.
