Follow Route 5 south until you reach the intersection with Route 235. Take a left onto Route 235 and continue for approximately 10 miles. After that, follow signs to Point Lookout State Park. You will eventually turn right onto Point Lookout Road. Continue straight for about 5 miles until you reach the park entrance at 11175 Point Lookout Rd, Scotland, MD 20687. There is a parking fee of $3 per vehicle for Maryland residents and $5 for non-residents.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from various locations in the Appalachian Plateau to Leonardtown. Once in Leonardtown, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Point Lookout State Park, as public transportation does not directly service the park.
