If you are traveling by car within Assateague Island National Seashore, start from the Visitor Center located at 7206 National Seashore Lane, Berlin, MD 21811. Head southeast on National Seashore Lane, and continue onto Assateague Island Road. Follow the signs for Assateague Island National Seashore. After entering the park, continue straight for about 5 miles until you reach the parking area for the lighthouse. The lighthouse is approximately 0.5 miles from the parking area, and you will need to walk along the designated trail to reach it.

Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to Assateague Island National Seashore. However, if you're visiting from nearby towns such as Chincoteague, you can take a local shuttle service or taxi to the park entrance. Once you arrive at the entrance, you will need to walk or bike to the lighthouse from the parking area, as there are no shuttle services that take visitors directly to the lighthouse.

If you are already in Assateague Island National Seashore and prefer to bike or walk, start at the main parking area near the Visitor Center. From there, follow the marked trails that lead to the Assateague Lighthouse. The path is well-maintained and clearly signed, providing a scenic route through the park's natural beauty. Be prepared for a short hike of about 0.5 miles to reach the lighthouse.
