Getting There

• Car

  From Assateague Island, head north on Assateague Island Scenic Byway (Route 611) towards Chincoteague Island. After approximately 9 miles, you will reach the intersection of Route 611 and Route 175. Turn left onto Route 175, which will take you directly onto Chincoteague Island. Continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach the main area of Chincoteague. There may be tolls along the way, so keep some cash handy.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, check for local bus services that operate between Assateague Island and Chincoteague Island. Currently, there is limited public transportation, so it may be necessary to use a taxi or rideshare service.
