Getting There

• Car

  From Assateague Island, head west on Assateague Road toward the intersection with VA-611. Turn left onto VA-611 and continue until you reach the intersection with VA-175. Turn right onto VA-175 and follow the road as it curves. After approximately 6 miles, you will enter Chincoteague Island. Continue straight until you reach Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street, and Pirate Ship Adventures will be on your right at Waterfront Park, 4089 Main St, Chincoteague, VA 23336.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, check for local shuttle services that operate between Assateague Island and Chincoteague Island. Once you arrive in Chincoteague, you will need to walk or use a taxi service to reach Pirate Ship Adventures, which is located at Waterfront Park, 4089 Main St. The distance from the bus stop to the attraction is about one mile, so prepare for a short walk or consider calling a local taxi if you're carrying heavy items or prefer not to walk.

  For those who enjoy biking, you can rent a bicycle on Assateague Island and ride towards Chincoteague Island. Follow Assateague Road to the VA-611, then take a left. After a scenic ride of about 6 miles, you will enter Chincoteague. Once you reach Main Street, turn left, and Pirate Ship Adventures will be on your right at Waterfront Park, 4089 Main St. Ensure your bike is equipped with proper lights if you're riding during dusk or evening hours.
