If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto Route 15 North from your current location in Catoctin Mountain Area. Follow Route 15 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the exit for MD-550 (Middletown). Turn right onto MD-550 and continue for about 3.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Zittlestown Road and follow the signs for Washington Monument State Park. The park entrance will be on your right after about 1 mile. Be sure to check the weather and road conditions before heading out.
