    To reach South Mountain State Park from Catoctin Mountain Park by car, start by exiting the park onto Route 77. Turn left onto Route 77 West and follow it for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the junction with Route 15. Merge onto Route 15 South. Continue on Route 15 South for about 10 miles. Take Exit 14 toward Boonsboro, and follow the signs for National Pike (Route 40). After about 2 miles, you will see South Mountain State Park on your left at 21843 National Pike, Boonsboro, MD 21713. There is no admission fee for the state park, but parking fees may apply during peak season.
