  If you're driving, start from the nearest major city, which is Hagerstown, MD. Take I-70 E toward Baltimore. Merge onto I-68 W and then take exit 7 for MD-144 W toward Hancock. Follow MD-144 W, which will lead you directly into Hancock. In Hancock, follow the signs to the C&O Towpath. The parking area is available at 21750 Hancock, MD 21750. Please note there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a credit card.

  To reach the C&O Towpath via public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus to Hagerstown, MD. From there, you will need to take a local taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to Hancock, MD.
