If you're traveling by car, start from the center of the Eastern Panhandle, for example from Martinsburg, WV. Head west on US-11 S towards Winchester, VA. After approximately 20 miles, merge onto I-81 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 23 for US-522 N towards Berkeley Springs. Follow US-522 N for around 25 miles until you reach the junction with US-50. Turn left onto US-50 W and continue for 10 miles. Then, take a right turn onto WV-9 W and drive for about 15 miles until you reach Paw Paw. The West Virginia/Maryland Sign is located near the intersection of US-50 and WV-9, near the town of Paw Paw. There is free parking available nearby.
