To reach C&O Canal Lock 30 via public transportation, take a MARC train on the Brunswick Line to the Brunswick station. From the station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the lock. Exit the train station and head southeast on Petersville Road, then turn right onto Potomac Street. Follow Potomac Street until it intersects with the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath. The walk is mostly flat and offers a pleasant view of the canal.
