Getting There

• Car

  If you're already in Rocky Gap State Park, head southeast on Lake Shore Drive toward the park entrance. Continue for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Route 144 (McMullen Highway). Turn left onto Route 144 and continue for approximately 2 miles. You will then see signs for White Pine Pavilion. The pavilion is located at Flintstone, MD 21530, and there is ample parking available nearby.

• Walking

  From the visitor center in Rocky Gap State Park, you can walk to White Pine Pavilion, which is about a 15-minute walk. Start by heading south on Lake Shore Drive. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 144. Cross safely and follow the signs for White Pine Pavilion through the park trails. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

• Biking

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at the Rocky Gap State Park visitor center. Take the same route as if you were driving: head southeast on Lake Shore Drive, then turn left onto Route 144. Biking along this route is scenic, and you can enjoy the fresh air. Just be cautious of traffic on Route 144 as you approach White Pine Pavilion.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited in this area. If you are coming from nearby towns, you may need to arrange for a shuttle or taxi service to get to Rocky Gap State Park. Once inside the park, you can use the walking or biking options to reach White Pine Pavilion. Check local transit schedules for any available services that connect to the park.
