From Seneca Creek State Park, head southeast on MD-355 S (Frederick Road) towards Germantown. Continue on MD-355 S for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with MD-27 N (Ridge Road). Turn right onto MD-27 N and follow it for approximately 7.5 miles. As you approach Brookeville, take a slight left onto Georgia Avenue (MD-97). Continue on Georgia Avenue for about 2 miles, and you'll find Patuxent River State Park on your right at 23222 Georgia Ave, Brookeville, MD 20833.

To reach Patuxent River State Park using public transportation, first, take the Ride On Bus Route 55 from the nearest bus stop in Seneca Creek State Park. Board the bus heading towards the Glenmont Metro Station. Transfer at the Glenmont Metro Station to the Red Line toward Shady Grove. Ride the Metro until you reach the Rockville Station. From Rockville, you can take Montgomery County's Connect-A-Ride service (you may need to book this in advance) or a local taxi service to reach Patuxent River State Park at 23222 Georgia Ave, Brookeville, MD 20833. Please check the bus and Metro schedules ahead of time for the most accurate timing and costs.
