Ride the train for about 10 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. At Gallery Place, transfer to the Yellow Line train towards Greenbelt. Ride this train for 3 stops and get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Station. From L'Enfant Plaza, exit the station and walk south on 7th Street SW, then take a left onto Independence Avenue SW. Continue walking until you reach The Ellipse, located at Washington, DC 20004.

    From Silver Spring, walk to the nearest bus stop and board the Metrobus route Z2, Z6, or Z8 towards the Silver Spring Transit Center. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop for the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station. Once you disembark, walk south on 7th Street SW and turn left onto Independence Avenue SW. Continue until you reach The Ellipse, located at Washington, DC 20004.
