Car
If you are driving, take I-70 E from any location in Western Maryland. Continue on I-70 E for about 30 miles. Merge onto I-495 N (Capital Beltway) toward Silver Spring. After about 10 miles, take exit 41 for MD-187 S/Old Georgetown Rd. Merge onto MD-187 S and continue for about 3 miles. Turn left onto Oxford Rd, and Clara Barton National Historic Site will be on your left at 5801 Oxford Rd, Glen Echo, MD 20812. Parking is available on site.

Public Transportation
To reach Clara Barton National Historic Site via public transportation, take the MARC Train from your location in Western Maryland to Washington, D.C. Once in D.C., transfer to the Metro system. Board the Red Line Metro train towards Glenmont. Get off at the Bethesda station. From there, you can catch the Ride-On Bus (Route 34) towards Glen Echo. Get off at the Oxford Rd & Glen Echo stop. Clara Barton National Historic Site is a short walk from the bus stop. Please check the local transit schedules for exact timing and fares.
