Train
From Boston, take the MBTA Commuter Rail from North Station to Salem Station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Salem Station, exit the station and head left onto Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Derby Street. Turn right onto Derby Street and walk until you reach the waterfront. From there, continue along the waterfront until you reach the Winter Island Park entrance on Winter Island Road.
Bus
You can take the MBTA bus #450 or #455 from Haymarket Station in Boston. Board the bus heading to Salem and ride for approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Winter Island Park' stop. From the bus stop, walk down Winter Island Road until you reach the entrance of Winter Island Park at 50 Winter Island Rd.
Ferry
During the summer months, you can take the ferry from Boston to Salem. Board the ferry at Long Wharf in Boston. The ferry ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Salem Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and walk straight on Blaney Street until you reach the intersection with Winter Island Road. Turn left on Winter Island Road and continue walking until you reach Winter Island Park.
