Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Hyannis, take Route 28 East and follow it for about 18 miles. You will pass through scenic towns such as Yarmouth and Dennis. Continue until you reach the junction with Route 6. Merge onto Route 6 North towards Provincetown. After approximately 10 miles, take Exit 1 for Cape Cod National Seashore. Follow the signs to the visitors center at Salt Pond. The national seashore has several beaches and parking lots, so choose your destination according to your preference.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cape Cod National Seashore using public transportation, start from Hyannis. Take the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus service (Route 1) toward Provincetown. The bus will take you along Route 6. Get off at the Salt Pond Visitor Center stop. From there, you can walk to various trails and beaches within the national seashore. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return times, as they may vary.

• Car

  If you are coming from Chatham, take Route 28 North until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Merge onto Route 6 North towards Provincetown. After about 15 miles, take Exit 1 for Cape Cod National Seashore. Follow the signs to the Salt Pond Visitor Center. You will find ample parking available. From the visitor center, you can access various trails and beach areas.

• Car

  Traveling from Falmouth, take Route 28 East towards Mashpee. Merge onto Route 151 East toward Sandwich and follow it until you reach the junction with Route 6. Merge onto Route 6 North. After about 12 miles, take Exit 1 for Cape Cod National Seashore. Follow the signs to the Salt Pond Visitor Center, which offers parking and access to the park.
