Getting There

• Walking from Vineyard Haven

  Start at the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal. Exit the terminal and head north on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with State Road. Turn left onto State Road and walk approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto West Tisbury Road. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Aquinnah Circle. The Gay Head Light will be on your left at 15 Aquinnah Cir, Aquinnah, MA 02535.

• Walking from Oak Bluffs

  Begin at the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal. Head west on Seaview Avenue, then turn left onto Ocean Park. Follow the path until you reach the end and turn right onto East Chop Drive. Walk until you reach the junction with State Road. Turn left onto State Road and continue for about 4 miles. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto West Tisbury Road. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Aquinnah Circle. Gay Head Light will be located at 15 Aquinnah Cir, Aquinnah, MA 02535.

• Public Bus from Edgartown

  Catch the VTA bus from Edgartown to Aquinnah. The bus will take you directly to the Aquinnah Circle stop. Once you disembark, walk a short distance towards the lighthouse. Gay Head Light is located at 15 Aquinnah Cir, Aquinnah, MA 02535. Check the VTA schedule for bus timings to plan your visit accordingly.

• Biking from any town in Martha's Vineyard

  Rent a bike from a local vendor in any town. Start by making your way to State Road. Follow State Road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto West Tisbury Road and bike for about 1 mile. Turn right onto Aquinnah Circle, and you will find Gay Head Light at 15 Aquinnah Cir, Aquinnah, MA 02535. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking rules.
