Getting There

• Bus

  To reach West Chop Lighthouse from the center of Barnstable, start by locating the nearest bus stop for the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) bus service. Take the bus heading toward Vineyard Haven. You will need to transfer at the Vineyard Haven stop. After the transfer, board the bus that goes to Tisbury. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to the lighthouse, which is near West Chop Lighthouse. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to the lighthouse.

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Barnstable. Start your journey by heading north on Main Street until you reach Route 28. Follow Route 28 east until you reach the junction with State Road in Tisbury. Continue on State Road and look for signs leading to West Chop.
