Walking
If you are starting from the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 67 Kirk St, walk south on Kirk St towards the Merrimack River, then take a left onto Dutton St. Follow Dutton St until you reach the intersection with Merrimack St. Turn right onto Merrimack St and continue until you reach the intersection with Central St. Turn left onto Central St and you will see the bus stop for the MBTA bus route 1. Take the bus heading to Boston, which will take you to the Alewife station. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Alewife stop. From there, transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at Park St Station. Finally, transfer to the Green Line and take the train towards Copley. Get off at Copley Station, and from there, it's just a short walk to 137 Beacon St, located in the Back Bay area.

Public Transit
From the Lowell Connector, take the MBTA Commuter Rail from the Lowell Station to North Station in Boston. Once you arrive at North Station, follow the signs to the Orange Line subway. Take the Orange Line towards Forest Hills and get off at Haymarket Station. Transfer to the Green Line and take the train towards Copley. Get off at Copley Station, and then walk about 0.3 miles (approximately 6 minutes) to 137 Beacon St. You will find the Gibson House Museum just a short walk away from the station.
