Getting There

• Car

  From the Mohawk Trail Scenic Byway, head southwest toward Colrain. If you are coming from the north, make your way to Route 112 South and follow it until you reach the junction with Route 2. Take Route 2 West until you reach Colrain. Once in Colrain, turn onto Lyonsville Road, and continue for about 1 mile. The Arthur A. Smith Covered Bridge will be on your left, easily identifiable as a historical landmark.

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Greenfield, MA, which is the nearest major transit hub. Look for the Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) bus that heads toward Colrain. You will need to check the schedule beforehand, as the buses may not run frequently. Once you arrive in Colrain, you can walk or use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Lyonsville Road. The Arthur A.
