Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. Head south on Johnny Cake Hill towards Union St. Turn left onto Union St and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Purchase St. Turn right onto Purchase St and walk until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront promenade, which will lead you onto MacArthur Drive. Continue along MacArthur Drive until you reach the intersection with Rodney French Blvd. Turn left onto Rodney French Blvd and walk until you see Fort Rodman on your left at 1000 Rodney French Blvd.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From the New Bedford Whaling Museum, walk to the nearest bus stop on Union St. Take the GATRA Bus Route 1 towards 'Tiverton'. Get off at the stop on Rodney French Blvd. After disembarking, walk south on Rodney French Blvd until you reach Fort Rodman, which will be located at 1000 Rodney French Blvd.
