Walking
If you are starting from the New Bedford Whaling Museum, head southwest on Johnny Cake Hill towards Union Street. Continue straight on Union Street until you reach the corner of Union and Purchase Street. Turn left onto Purchase Street and walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the waterfront. You will see signs directing you to the Harbor Walk. Follow the waterfront path, and in approximately 10 minutes, you will arrive at Harbor Walk located on Cove Rd.

From the New Bedford City Hall, head south on William Street towards the waterfront. When you reach the waterfront, turn left and follow the path along the harbor. Continue walking along the water, passing through the various parks and piers. After about 20 minutes, you will arrive at Harbor Walk on Cove Rd.

If you prefer public transportation, catch the local bus at the New Bedford Transit Station. Take the bus heading towards the waterfront area, and get off at the stop nearest to Cove Rd. From there, follow the signs directing you to Harbor Walk, which is just a short walk away.
