If you are starting from the New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill, head north on Johnny Cake Hill, then turn right onto Union Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.4 miles until you reach the waterfront. From there, you can take a scenic walk along the harbor towards the ferry terminal. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard departs from this terminal. Board the ferry and enjoy the 45-minute ride to Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard. Once you arrive, you'll need to take a local bus or taxi to reach Aquinnah, which is about 12 miles away. The bus service is provided by the Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority.
