Follow Plum Island Turnpike for about 2 miles until you reach the Mass Audubon Joppa Flats Education Center located at 1 Plum Island Turnpike on your right. There is free parking available on site.

To reach the Joppa Flats Education Center via public transportation, you can take the Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority (MVRTA) bus. Board the MVRTA Route 54 at any stop along the route that services Newburyport. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest times as they may vary. Get off at the stop closest to Plum Island Turnpike and walk approximately 0.3 miles south along Plum Island Turnpike to reach the center. Be aware that the bus fare is usually around $1.50 and exact change is required.
