If you're driving from the center of Newburyport, head south on State Street toward Merrimack Street. Continue onto US-1 S for about 8 miles. Take the exit toward MA-114 E/South Salem. Merge onto MA-114 E and follow the signs for Salem. Once in Salem, turn right onto Derby Street. The House of the Seven Gables will be on your right at 115 Derby St, Salem, MA 01970. There is a parking lot available, but be aware that there may be a parking fee.

To reach The House of the Seven Gables using public transportation, start at the Newburyport MBTA station. Take the commuter rail train on the Newburyport/Rockport Line towards North Station. Get off at the Salem station. From the station, you can walk to The House of the Seven Gables, which is approximately a 20-minute walk (about 1 mile). Head south on Bridge Street, then turn left onto Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach Derby Street, then turn right. The House will be on your left. Alternatively, you can take a local bus from Salem station to get closer to the destination.
