If you are traveling by car, the Mass Audubon Joppa Flats Education Center is located at 1 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA 01950. From the center of Newburyport, head northeast on State St toward Water St. Turn right onto Water St, then take a slight left onto Plum Island Turnpike. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will find the education center on your right. There's ample parking available on site, and no fee is required for parking.

To reach the Mass Audubon Joppa Flats Education Center using public transportation, take the MBTA Commuter Rail to the Newburyport station. From the station, you can catch the local bus service (MVRTA Route 54) which goes towards Plum Island. Get off at the stop nearest to Plum Island Turnpike. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the center. Be sure to check the MBTA and MVRTA schedules for the latest timings. Note that there may be a fare for the bus ride, typically around $1.50.
