If you are driving from South Shore, take Route 3 North towards Boston. Merge onto I-93 North and follow signs for the Zakim Bridge. Continue on I-93 North until you reach exit 28 for Storrow Drive. Take Storrow Drive to the exit for Charlestown. Follow the signs for Charlestown, and then turn right onto Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach Monument Square where the Bunker Hill Monument is located. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to park in nearby lots if necessary, which may incur a fee.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by taking the MBTA Commuter Rail from South Shore to South Station in Boston. Once at South Station, transfer to the Orange Line subway (Assembly Square direction) and get off at the Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, it's about a 15-minute walk to Bunker Hill Monument. Walk north on Hanover Street, then take a left onto Charlestown Bridge. Continue onto Main Street and then turn right onto Bunker Hill Street which will lead you directly to Monument Square.

If you're using the bus, check the MBTA schedule for a bus route that services your area to Boston. Once you reach a hub like Alewife, take the 93 bus towards Sullivan Station. Get off at the Sullivan Square stop and transfer to the 92 or 93 bus towards Charlestown. Disembark at the Monument Square stop. Bunker Hill Monument will be within walking distance from the bus stop.
